Sercomm Announces 2Q’11 Financial Results
Taipei, Taiwan, 30th August 2011- Sercomm Corporation (TSE: 5388), a leading manufacturer of broadband and wireless networking equipments, today announced financial results for the second quarter of year 2011.
On consolidated basis, net sales for the 2nd quarter of year 2011 were NT$3.21 billion, which represents a 58.5% increase compared to NT$2.02 billion for 2Q’10. Income before tax for 2Q’11 were NT$185 million, which represents a 86.9% year-over-year increase over NT$99 million for the second quarter of year 2010. Net income for 2Q’11 were NT$152 million, which also represents a 81% increase compared to NT$84 million for the same period last year. Based on 174 million weighted average shares outstanding, earnings per share (EPS) were reported as NT$0.87 for the second quarter of year 2011. Cumulatively, consolidated net sales for 1H’11 were NT$5.92 billion, which represents a 56.8% increase over NT$3.78 billion for the same period last year. Income before tax for 1H'11 were NT$358 million, which represents a 102.3% year-over-year increase over NT$177 million for 1H’10. Net income for 1H’11 were NT$296 million, which also represents a 101.4% increase compared to NT$147 million for the 1st half of 2010. Based on 174 million weighted average shares outstanding, EPS for the first half of year 2011 were reported as NT$1.70.
